End of Term 1 Update

Wow! What an exciting term we had in Room 1. We started with 8 students and made our way to 13 by the end of the term. We look forward to welcoming more students next term. Some fantastic learning was achieved by all students and they made my first term at St Joe's a breeze. A couple of reminders for Term 2:

- Sunhat's were sent home - please bring these back to school in Term 4
- Uniform - we are now into Winter uniform, so please ensure the students come dressed for day 1.
- Reading folders - please bring these back to school next term with word cards, yellow reading log book and their small notebook.

Term 2 begins on Monday 2nd May - I look forward to welcoming you all back for another action packed term.

Measurement with Mrs Stanley

Room 1 have spent the last few weeks learning the following terms: full, half full, empty, nearly full and nearly empty. With Mrs Stanley Room 1 had the privilege of making containers out of paper to see how full they could get it with the popcorn they made. I have been told Zeke could fit the most popcorn in his container!

Holy Week

As we spend the weekend preparing ourselves for Holy Week beginning with Palm Sunday on Sunday the classroom prayer table has had a make over to represent this time. Holy Week is a great time to remind your students that Easter is not only about the chocolate but the time we remember when Jesus died for us.

Here is a short video you may like to show your children.

Week 10 Certificates

This week was the hardest week to choose who to give the certificates to, if I was allowed to give out 13 I would of. The learning and enthusiasm in Room 1 is amazing at the moment. Congratulations to Carmen and Jenelle for an outstanding effort in their learning recently.
