Sharing Days

Part of the Room 1 Oral Language programme is daily sharing. Students have sharing days and can bring in something to show the class or they simply tell the students about something exciting they have done. Today Zeke brought in his lantern from the lantern parade. What awesome sharing and an awesome experience you had Zeke.

Holy Spirit Strand

The Year 1 students are coming to the end of their Holy Spirit strand. They have been learning what the Holy Spirit is like and that God is three in one - the trinity. Here are some photos of Room 1 exploring the 3 parts of an egg just like the trinity!

Strand Maths - Position and Orientation

This term our strand maths focus is position and orientation. Room 1 have been learning new vocabulary to help us learn to describe where something is or give someone instructions such as left and right. Here are some photos of the amazing learning completed with Mrs Stanley this morning. We learnt lots of new words, thanks Mrs Stanley!! 

King of the Lions

I could not be more proud of Room 1 for getting up on stage on Thursday night and performing like stars. You all made me so proud and all the hard work paid off. Here is a sneak peak at two of the photos I have received from Thursday night. Plenty more to come!!

PRODUCTION WEEK!!!!

Excitement is building around the school with only two more sleeps to go before Production day!!! Room 1 have been practicing their dance hard and look amazing in their costumes. Here is a sneak peak of the production from Room 1.

Week 6 Certificates

Week 6 Certificates - Congrats to Rosalie and James, they worked extremely hard all week for these certificates. Keep it up! 

Term 2 Art - Draw and Design

The focus for art this term is draw and design. Room 1 are starting off with drawing. On Thursday the students got to free draw a picture of a person. Then we talked through the process of what makes a person look good when drawing one and what features do we need to include such as 2 arms instead of 4 arms. Room 1 then went away and practiced drawing another person. The outcomes are fantastic and showed me that they understand the basic process of drawing a person and what to include.

Week 5 Certificates

It was extremely exciting to welcome Eti to Room 1 today, he is already a valued member of our class and well liked by his peers.

Pasifika Sunrise Group Performance

To finish off Samoan Language Wee the Pasifika Sunrise group performed a few songs for us at line up. They did an amazing job. Hopefully you can spot 3 Room 1 faces!
