Cook Island Week Begins
Cook Island Week kicked off today with some beautiful treasures brought in by Rosalie. Thank you Rosalie for helping us learn more about the Cook Islands. James and Zeke also put up the Cook Island flag for the school.

New Students!!
We love new students in Room 1 and on Monday we welcomed Karin, Jack, Sera and Raukawa. They have settled in extremely well and are loving school.

Football Skills Week 1
Room 1 have the opportunity to participate in 4 Football Skills sessions over the next few weeks. The first session focussed on holding, passing and working with a ball before looking at how we can kick and trap a ball. Room 1 showed amazing skills.

Term 3 Begins
I hope you have all managed to stay warm and dry these holidays with the mixed bag of weather we have had! At the end of last term we sadly farewelled Ismay, Nana, James C, Erwan and Amanda through to Room 2 but on Monday we welcome Jack, Sera, Karin and Raukawa into our classroom as well as many more new students throughout the term. I am extremely excited for what this term will have in store for Room 1 and have posted a picture as a hint of what we might be learning! Enjoy the end of the holidays and I look forward to welcoming you all on Monday!!

Matariki Art
Miss Reeves signed Room 1 up to School Kit for some Matariki Art freebies. Part of this was a blank cardboard star with the instructions Room 1 had to decorate it, send it back to School Kit and in 2018 it will appear on the cover of a Warehouse Stationary Book all over New Zealand. Room 1 choose a glitter rainbow and had an awesome time decorating it!

Certificates Week 9/Week 10
These certificates were handed out at the start of this week for last week. Well Done Erwan and Leo!!
Inquiry - Why is performance important to our world?
Room 1 have been exploring this term why performance is been important to our world. This has been an exciting and fun filled inquiry over the term ending with our own performance. Room 1 had to learn and present a poem to the class with actions if they choose. Check out the amazing videos below.
