Music Extravanganza
Today Room 1 enjoyed performing for the whole school and a large number of parents and families. The children in Room 1, like all the children in the school, love going to lessons each week with Mrs Bowen. I think Room 1 did a wonderful job performing today, what do you think?

Visit to the Cathedral
As part of our Church Strand we needed a visit to the Cathedral to better understand what is in the Church. Monsignor John showed us around and we learnt so much about where things go and the name of things.
Harold!
How exciting to have Harold visiting St Joes to teach Room 1 all about eating healthy and what foods to put into our bodies all the time and what foods we should only eat sometimes.

Technology - Morning Tea for the teachers
This term we have been doing two things in technology - coding and learning the technology process. To learn the technology process we have had to figure out a solution to the problem of the teachers having boring and unhealthy morning teas. We have had to
- brainstorm what we could do
- brainstorm potential problems
- survey the teachers to find out what they do and do not like
- search the supermarket catalogues to see what we can buy
- write Mrs Stanley a letter asking her to help us pay for the morning tea.
Here are some photos of us choosing food from the teachers responses. Look out for the final product coming in a few days!

Firewise
Firewise is an important skill we need to learn from a young age. In week 6 Miss Reeves taught us the basics and on Monday the Firefighters came to teach us more. We learnt:
- who to call in a fire
- how to tell someone their is a fire
- how to get out in a fire
We also got a certificate and magazine to take home!
