Maths Week Fun

Week 4 saw students participating in a range of fun activities organised by Room 6 for Maths week. It started on Monday with a number hunt and Amelie won this for our class finding the most numbers. Tuesday and Thursday the students participated in morning tea Maths challenges to earn themselves chocolate frogs. The week finished with all students receiving a lollie!












RE - Sacrament Strand

Room 1 are extra lucky as they have Mrs Stanley teaching them Religious Education from time to time. This term with Mrs Stanley they have been look at holy people, places and objects. Technology Inquiry - BeeBots

Our Inquiry this term has a focus on Technology - the digital aspect of technology, coding and the process of technology. In this selection of photos the students are having their first go at coding the BeeBots. They had to figure out how the BeeBot could go forward, backwards, sideways etc. In these photos the students are trying to make the BeeBots go in a square and circle.

Number Knowledge - Maths

Week 1 and 2 this term we focussed on number knowledge and place value, two very important parts of Mathematics. Here we are looking at tens frames.


Fitness Fun!

School wide we now have syndicate fitness one afternoon a week and whole school Jump Jam on a Monday afternoon. During our fitness sessions we are doing a range of exercises in a round robin setting including, crunches, burpees, star jumps and push ups.








Fundamental Skills

In fundamental skills with Sport Otago this term we have been learning how to be successful with our catches and our throws. Check us out in action.
