Superheros to the rescue!

Young Vinnies organised a super hero dress up day and all super hero had to bring a can or packet of food to school. For a school of 153 we collected 563 cans/packets! What an amazing effort!

Sarament Strand

We have begun our Sacrament Strand which we will focus on in R.E. for majority of this term. Here is our initial brainstorm and an outline of what we will be learning about. The blue is our initial thoughts before any teaching. The black is what we will be learning about.

B is for bouncing birds and as B was our letter of the week we had to make some bouncing birds

Coding with Hoiho

Hoiho (Room 5) came over on Friday to work with our students on Scratch Jnr - a coding programme. This was the first intro for our kids to this and they had a blast. Here are screen shots of moving animations they created with their buddies. So much fun!!

Week 1 Activities

Welcome Aaradhya and Mina

It was a pleasure to welcome Aaradhya and Mina to Room 1 in the first week of the term. These two lovely ladies have come from the same Kindy and have settled in so well. They both have older siblings watching out for them in the playground.
