We are lucky enough to have Year 12 Students from Kavanagh to teach the junior classes fundamental skills in Physical Education. The students have enjoyed learner new skills and playing games to enhance these skills. Toss the chicken has been a huge hit!

Arai Te Uru Marae Visit.

We had a wonderful day at the Marae. The children participated in traditional games, wrote their own Maori greeting (pepeha) and sang traditional songs. This was a great way for us to start our Maori Language and Culture topic.

Welcome back to Term 4!

Hello and welcome back to Term 4. It is hard to believe that it is the last term already!
We have a lot planned for this term and we are looking forward to sharing what our learners are doing.
Our Inquiry topic this term is Maori Language and Culture. To kick off this topic we have a trip planned to the local Marae, where children will get to experience a powhiri (welcoming) and traditional Maori games. To wrap up this topic we will be celebrating all the different cultures in our school on a 'Culture Night'.

We will also taking the children swimming near the end of the term, not to mention all the Christmas festivities!
